Weird happenings, getting someone else's photos in my gallery!

It doesn't happen if you look at your whole gallery of thumbnails though, right?

Right, but it shouldn't happen at all. It's MY photo gallery which I should be able to access only by signing in under my account. When I went to pick out the photos to include in the swap gallery it made it a pain in the butt to go through all those unnecessary photos to find mine.

I'm totally not trying to sound bitchy, I just want to make myself clear: I should be able to browse only MY photos in MY photo hosting area, not the pictures of strangers. If I want to browse other people's pics then I should be required to click on their names to see them, not click on my personal photo hosting.

It feels like an intrusion into my personal space.

Just to make sure everyone knows -- none of the photos in our galleries are private or unreachable by other members.  We can all browse each other's galleries at any time.

I've never had a problem finding my images when posting, though.  I go to my gallery, click on the picture I want, copy the code and put it in my post.

When you go to the slideshow view, you aren't necessarily in your gallery, which I'm gathering is what you want changed in the code.  I'll make note of this and see what we can do!

I think of it like we have our own little folders in the file cabinet.  If you look above the pictures when you click "my picture hosting" it says:      
Home » Member Galleries » summertimerolls (for me).  So the program has to go through all the members to find your gallery.  If you click on member galleries then you get everyone's pictures.  But yours are all linked to you if you click on your name.  You shouldn't have to go through them all to find your picture.

I know it's not private, that's not the issue I'm having, and again, not trying to be a witch here so I apologize if that's how it's coming across.

The issue is not having only mine to browse through when I'm uploading. I've been a member since September of 2007 and I've NEVER had other people's photos show up in my slideshow, never. Maybe I've just been lucky, but I don't think so, I think it's a new glitch.

You shouldn't have to go through them all to find your picture.

You aren't coming across bad at all!  ...not AT ALL!   I didn't think you thought they were private, but I wanted to make sure everyone else knew that as well.  It would suck if someone thought they could use our galleries for personal use, haha!

I think I've been able to find other peoples' photos in the slideshow view for awhile, but it could very well be a new thing.  I'm going to talk to Leah about this and see what we can do to make it easier for yas.

Sounds like when you're in that view, it just looks at whatever order the photos were uploaded to our system.

dawt, is it possible that you've just been uploading pics at a non-busy time? i'm on the west coast, and usually online late at night, so that's when i do my uploading. i almost never have this happen when i upload at night, it's just when i upload during the day. i know it's been like this for a long time though.


i'm not sure i understand, if you don't want to look at the other photos, why don't you just go to your gallery? it's only one more click, really.
