Okay, I know I'm over-posting... but I just was thinking... I kind of hope my packages don't get here too soon... I'm not sure I'll handle staring at them for 2 weeks very well.  I mean, don't get me wrong... I'm not the kind of person who'll open things early, I'm a rule follower for the most part, and I do love surprises.

But dang I'm going to be distracted for a while.  Uff dah.

Ohh.. I feel the same. Except for the major difference that I DO have all my packages, and have for a couple days now! Sooo tempting. (And it's weird, I've never been the type to sneak peeks at Christmas gifts.. I guess it's harder when the person is in a different country!)

It's only 12 and 11 I'm really having trouble with, because they're in gift bags! (Taped up, but still). The rest are nicely wrapped in fabric, so I guess the fact that the fabric is there abates my need for knowing?

I was really freaking out on Sunday about how much I still had to do, but I worked like crazy the past couple of days, and now I'm feeling pretty good about the situation!

my update:

Day 6: 5 done out of 6, last item about 1/3 done.
Day 5: all done, except one tiny bit of finishing
Day 4: done!
Day 3: 2 done out of 3...last item started
Day 2: done!
Day 1: done!

Sooo....only 2 items left to do!  This day 6 item is taking waaayyy longer than I thought.  I was expecting about 4 hours total, but now I'm thinking it will be about 8 for the main part, and another hour for finishing.

I'm getting close, though! woo!

Hee hee!  Me too, just having those lovely presents all wrapped up with colorful tissue paper will be sooo tempting.  But, then again, they will look pretty under the Christmas tree. Cheesy  Im excited about this whole swap.  Since Im done crafting I can focus on the "ohhhh, pretty presents, for me?  Oh, goodie!" phase of this swap. Grin

One does not simply walk into Mordor. Its black gates are guarded by more than just orcs. There is evil there that does not sleep. The great eye is ever watchful. It is a barren wasteland, riddled with fire, ash, and dust. The very air you breathe is a poisonous fume.......

I got my first box sent out and I'm working on the next package - lots done, but still lots left to do. I have to go back on Friday for more lasik surgery as I ran into problems and my vision isn't very clear, so really difficult to keep up with this thread! But hopefully I'll be able to craft some of the more detailed work items.

I'm at school in class, but I didn't do my homework so I have freeeeee time.

day 6: 3/6 done
day 5: 4/5 done
day 4: 3.5/4 done
day 3: 2.5/3 done
day 2: 0/2 done, but figuring out what to do was the hardest part and putting it together should be relatively quick
day 1: done!

If I could just be as dedicated to school work as I am to crafting, I'd be really happy.

But, then again, they will look pretty under the Christmas tree. Cheesy

See, I don't think I'm going to be able to have mine under the tree to begin with.  I don't trust a) my daughter and b) my cats.

(Especially since, and this is just a hunch, I'm pretty sure one of the packages is going to have a catnip-something-or-other in it.  LOL)

So I think I'm going to clear my craft room, and just display them nicely on the bed in there.  Especially since that's where I use my laptop at night, and I'll want to be in the chatroom when opening.   Cheesy

I will, Gomer! (sacto represent!)

I might be sleeping, though. I'm in finals for most of the gift opening period  Sad
