This is so utterly fantastic. I would love to do this but know nothing about  re-upholstering. Can you recommend a tutorial anywhere? I have a chair that needs done, but i wouldn't know where to begin! I can sew, I've got cool fabrics, but it just about ends there!

Well done!!!

Thank you Bunnikins!

Re-upholstering is probably much easier than you think. This was my first attempt. I had read many posts here in the housewares sections... though I'm afraid I don't have a good link. Basically, I went to the hardware store, bought a staple gun and staples (I had eye protection), ripped off the existing fabric and used it to make a pattern. I slipped my patchwork over the chair and stapled it into place. The only real trick is to know to staple in the middle and then opposite sides in the middle, to stretch it out.

I say just go for it!

If the above does not make sense, try searching here for "upholstery tutorial". Good luck!
