When I saw the pendant, I thought "ooo Notre Dame" so mission accomplished.  I also think the ring is really unique.  I so wish my college had jewelry classes!  I'm currently stalking the comm. college listings, but no jewelry yet.

If I had a hammer, I'd cover it with glitter.

That is such an impressive take on your theme. The ring really blew me away with its simplicity and its embodiment of the concept. And the gaps aren't really that noticeable Cheesy.

love love love the design on the ring!

you can still fill the gap with some extra solder, just use a lower solder  than you used (like "easy" if you used "medium") if you can or at least cover the other solder points with ochre.

you can get the fire scale off with more polishing but it looks great, have fun wearing it Smiley

and totally random side-note: i dreamed i was at notre dame last night, inside and out.

Both are beautiful.

I start my jewelry course at the university next week, I cannot wait.

nanner: I thought of doing that, but since I had already used even the easy solderI was afraid of messing up XD I never heard of ochre, I googled it and it sounds nice! I'll see if I can fetch some of it around here ^^
But I already sanded the ring so much to take out the blobs the messy soldering formed, I think it might become too fragile... =/
The fire scale actually appeared when I polished it... I think I let the disk over the same point too long and it heated too much =/ My teacher said it only came out with acid, though =O
Thanks a lot for the tips! And it must've been a cool dream XD

thedish: Cool, I hope you like it! Make sure you post the outcome =]

There's not much in this world that can't be improved by either chocolate, bacon or glitter.

Consider checking courses offered by your county or municipal department of recreation, as well as simply googling jewelry schools that may be in your area.  If I can find two schools like this in tiny Costa Rica, I am sure you can find one too.  If you need a little help feel free to PM me.
