Egret, there are dozens of good fabric sources on the web.  You might enjoy Sewing World www.sewingworld.com  It is a disucssion board for people who do various kinds of things with fabric from garment construction to quilting to machine embroidery to different crafts.

Also, for fabric here are a few more:

www.fabric.com   lower prices but sometimes very good deals
www.michaelsfabrics.com     higher end, fantastic quality

Hi, I have purchased fun, funky, fabric from reprodepotfabrics.com.  I have used the "swatch" option there,( I think its $2.00 per) to avoid disasters.
They are pretty good about quality, and will post it if there are any defects.

Cabbagerosequilts.com has fun, fun, fun Amy Butler fabric.  Not preppy, just cool.  They included some swatches of the temple flowers collection, I was really pleased with the quality, although I haven't ordered the fabric.
Good luck!!!

...online fabric retailer?  I live in the 'wal-mart only' sticks and I'm looking for fun funky prints and children's flannels/terry cloth.  Advice, please.

For kid prints and fabrics...www.wazoodle.com. They are a canadian company but they ship fast (faster than some US companies) and are really great people to work with. Love their stuff.

depending on what brand name and pattern your looking for, most times its cheapest on ebay..theres a few people who sell fabric a few cents over wholesale..not double plus a little like many of these sites..ive had gotten some great fabrics from many of them..i guess with knowing the price they paid, and the price their asking, i dont buy off the web too much...im cheap..heh....

does anyone know how to get in touch with fabrica ttic, they dont have any contact info on their site. i placed an order2 weeks ago and have not received anything but one email saying once the order is processed they will send it. i have since sent them 2 emails inquiring about my order with no response back. they have some really cool stuff and i would like to know that they are a legit business but right now they are really pissing me off and i am starting to doubt it! please prove me wrong.
