I didn't go through all the stores in the initial post, but this one had caught my eye earlier, and its a Canadian store (with free shipping to Canada)

has anyone purchased from www.fabrics-store.com?  i skimmed through the thread and didn't see it mentioned anywhere.  i would really love some good quality linen, and they seem to have a very good selection.

i'm interested to hear anyone's opinion on this company.

thanks!

Okay so I'm new to sewing and there are no real fabric stores in my area so I was wondering if any of you amazing crafters out there have any suggestion on sites I can use to start building my stash.
Thanks!

I have the same issue.  There's a Joann, which is okay for some things, but not really the greatest for most.  (I think that they price with the assumption that most people won't buy anything that's not on sale or use a half-off coupon.)
My favorite place for fabric is FabricMart.  They tend to have a lot of really great sales, and have awesome bundles.
For notions, Cleaner Supply.  They're actually a dry cleaner supply place, but they have a good tailoring section.  They're awesome for thread, zippers, and stuff like that.
The wholesale notions section at Vogue Fabrics is good for button and zipper assortments.  Their fabric prices usually seem on the high side to me, but those assortments just rock!

I haven't read through the whole thread but I'm sure it's been mentioned--- fabric.com. Even with all of the fabric stores I have nearby, they always get me with their sale emails and free shipping over $35. I've ordered from them 3 times in the last month or so--mostly for stuff I saw someplace else and got on sale from them for a lower price, or stuff I just haven't seen around here and loved it.

A dangerous place to browse if you don't want to buy anything!  Wink

My favorite sites are

Fabric.com

(you can get interfacing and kona cotton and really good sale fabrics there)

fashionablefabrics.com

fatquartershop.com

superbuzzy.com (expensive!)

fabricpatch.com

and for zippers I go here:

Great place to get fabrics and trims is Payless Fabrics. They also carry hard to find fabrics too.

I'm new to the forum but does anyone know anything about fabrics-store.com? I'm looking to buy some 100% linen and everyone on the site says that it's incredible quality for the price. I just wanted to know if anyone has ever shopped there before? I'm thinking about placing an order for a couple of yards... Thanks for your help!
