Hi!

I have been looking and looking -- where in the world (at Michaels?) can I find safety eyes?  Is there another name they go by that might give the clerks working there an idea of what I mean?  I asked where to find safety eyes and the only thing they were able to point me to was the googly eyes, but I didn't see safety eyes anywhere.  Any ideas?  I tried looking at Wal-Mart, but none there either.  I'm a bit limited because Michaels and Wal-Mart are the only actual crafty stores we have around here Sad

So many crochet patterns I want to do and use safety eyes with, and no idea where to find them hehe.

Thanks for any advice on finding safety eyes you might have Wink

the saftey eyes should be where the doll/bear making stuff is.  Normally, thats where they are in all the craft stores Ive been too.  And googly eyes are sometimes with them too.  But its normally, bear/doll eyes(also known as safety eyes) and the bear & doll parts all together.

Want to learn to crochet or knit?  I have a ton of extra crochet hooks & circular knitting needles.  Will throw in some pattern books and yarn for anyone interested in a swap.

I haven't tried looking at Michael's, but I find them at Hobby Lobby with the doll making supplies.

Thanks for your help -- I'll just have to keep scouring I guess.  I wish we had a Hobby Lobby here in Canada, but I'm pretty sure we don't have them.  At least we don't in Calgary.

Thanks again!

Do you have a nearby Joanne's?  They will also have safety eyes, and their people actually seem to know where things are.

I had to use ebay for a while as even our Walmart here in southern California are eliminating the crafts department. Then I found great supplier . Check my message at

I had the same problem. I looked everywhere.. bear, doll, buttons & beads section. There's only googly eyes.. You'll have to buy it off ebay or google it.. or buy a stuffed animal and steal those eyes lol
