I have seen this done a couple of times.
Anyway, I really wanted to have a unique dress for homecoming. Plus, I had been saving wrappers for quite awhile. I still probably have close to a thousand of them in all different colors.
Here is the dress I bought. I wish I could have gotten 2 of them because I really like it plain. It was really cheap ($10 maybe).

That was before the wrappers. About 8 hours later - and mostly on the day of Homecoming last year - the finished product:

((yay for pictures that I look horrible in xD))

And one of it hanging up after the dance.

Thanks everyone!  Grin

I sewed all of the wrappers on actually. It was a huge pain, because I made strips, taped them together (using only a tiny square of Scotch tape), and then taped the strips to the skirt of the dress before stitching them on.

Wow! This is amazing Grin
I was just wondering how you stopped the wrappers from ripping when you sewed them on. Does fabric glue not work for attaching paper to fabric?
I would love to try this someday, maybe for a top. Smiley
