And im not even sure if this belongs here, its not much of a recon... but anyway. sometime at the beginning of summer i found these merona shorts at target: they were terribly boring but somehow they seemed like they had nautical potential that i liked.

and i didnt post it till now bc ive been lazy and as of today ive been stuck inside for 3 days listening to the wind try to make trees come inside my house.

before:

boring buttons:

after:

left pocket detail (sorry its upside down i cant figure out how to fix it!:

right pocket detail (again, sorry):

questions, comments, concerns?

Look at me, I'm on TV, it makes up for the shortcomings of being poor. Now I'm in a million pieces picked up for deliberation by the people listening at home, by the people watching on the telly...

Great job!  I always say I'm going to do something like this, but never really follow thru!  You make me want to go pick up my embroidery floss and start stitching!

Those are so lovely! I have such a hard time finding shorts long enough, but not too long. I probably will have to follow your lead and make my own.
