Would anyone be interested in a zine swap? I have looked at past zine swaps and not really liked the way they were organized.

Here is how I figured I would make the swap requirements: The organizer (me if need be) will set up groups of three to five participants. Each person makes a zine on a topic of their choice and sends copies to each person in their group. As the organizer I would try to group similar interests and note if a person wanted adult materials or not (obviously within craftsters rules too).

There are many different types of zines and mine would probably be a collage/artsy type, but there can be short stories, drawings, informative zines. The choices are endless.

For those of you who do not know what a zine is here is the wikipedia link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zine

So: anyone interested?

What times would be good for everyone? I would most definitely leave a large amount of craft time. And possibly have a system to reduce flakers (similar to what I have seen in the sweat shoppe swaps)

erm, well, since a zine is mostly paper, anytime is good. i'll fit it in between work and stuff.

what a great idea!  and not that i'd be one to break any rules or anything Wink,  but what constitutes as inappropriate? i do a lot of  risque (though artistic & usually political in scope) photography, and wouldn't want to send anything that potentially offends

inappropriate would be... you have to be 18 to view it Grin Depending on the number of people, we may have just one group. (of 5 or 6) then you may have to make it more PG 13.  Grin

But I am not offended by too awfully much. I will have to look into organizing a swap some more as I have not organized one before.
