I bought a big old pillow in the secondhand store last week it was really cheap.  Because it was to big I couldn’t use it, so I decided to use the fabric to make something new. At first I wanted to use it for a quilt or something like that. But I didn’t have the patient to wait until I had enough fabric to make a quilt.

In the end it became a kimono inspired nightgown. I didn’t use a pattern I just measured myself and started drawing. I used some kimono images to help me with the shape. The basic shape is really easy, a bit like a “T” shape.

The fabric is so pretty - I can see why you wanted to use it!

I've never been lost, but I will admit to being confused for several weeks.

Thank you all for your nice comments! I really love it to make something new form something old. I am always on the look for old treasures that I can make into something new and beautiful.

I LOVE THAT!  If you would rather it not be a nighty, you could make another one, and use a thicker material and then you would have a really chic top. Or you could just put a tanktop or cami under that! I ABSOLUTELY love this!
