EDIT! (12/25/09) I made a new bag based off of Logsio's Funky Weekend Bag Tutorial! This time I kept her same proportions, but made it smaller. It's 15 inches long, so it's a little baby Smiley It's a delayed Christmas gift for my boyfriend's mother. She saw the one I made last year and liked it, so I used the same fabric. It still needs a zipper, but I needed to email her a picture of it and decided to go ahead and post it here anyways.

Thanks for looking! The original bag I made is below if you're interested. Smiley

I play water polo at school, and our tournaments are always weekend long overnights. Needless to say, I just had to make a new bag for our season Smiley I saw a post here on Craftster where a girl made a similar bag and was immediately inspired to make something like it. Unfortunately I can't remember her username for the life of me...so if by some chance you remember a bag similar to this in design let me know and I'll give her credit for my inspiration Smiley

edit: the bag that inspired this one was made by Logsio.. http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=42927.0

I used a parka zipper (meaning it zips from both ends) and I still need to add a lining with interfacing. (I was too excited to use it so months later I still have not done that! haha)

It seems that different people have an idea of what I am, and what I should be. And then there's me.

This is awesome!  I love the print!  Is is cosmetic sized or big enough to hold a few pairs outfits?  Either way, LOVE IT!

oops! I definitely should have mentioned that or given a size reference. It's about 20 inches long, so big enough to hold a few outfits. I'm always able to stick in a towel or 2 as well Smiley

I love the fabric that you used, it's really pretty. You did a great job on this. It reminds me of the Funky Travel Bag  that Logsio made ... http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=42927.0

Yay Water Polo!!!! You should make the lining water proof. That'll keep it from getting  moldy when you throw those wet towels, suits, and caps in and then forget about them all night until practice the next day when you have to put on a wet suit. It looks gorgeous and I love the print.

VERY pretty!  I'm on my second bag from Logsio's tute; it's a terrific bag, very handy, and yours is gawgeous.  I use a second lining of ripstop between the two main, to help with moisture - it's a pain but I think it will help a lot long-term.  I also left mine floppy (no interfacing at all) for ease of storage.
