awesome idea to recycle older pants...
from behind you can't even tell she is preggers.

Thanks! She loved the idea, because it was free:-) And she never wore the tank-top we used anyway.

You are an awesome friend to create these for your friend! They look amazing on her - she really doesn't look pregnant from behind! Good lord she is tiny. Tongue

Loved the description of what her previous solution was too. Smiley

LOVE IT! I had the same problem she has, but the opposite direction. I wear a size 18 and all of the cute maternity clothes were either already gone by the time I got there or UGLY! I did the same thing you did for your friend. She needs more than one pair! And you can do the same thing with skirts. This is the best gift you could have given her right now. Being 8 months pregnant myself, I know how important it is to have clothes that are comfortable and cute.

Oh, great job!  I was still wearing my maternity jeans until my daughter was 5 months old and there were HOLES in the pants.  My husband made me throw them away, finally.  Hopefully she finds that these are as comfortable as mine were.  Wink

And tell her congrats!

Those turned out so cute!  I've been in need for some inspiration myself.  I'm 14 weeks and I'm already wearing the maternity shirts that were passed to me, but I can't fit into either my maternity pants or my regular pants.  It's been frustrating.  I better get to work!  Great job!

They're really great Smiley

My friend has a similar problem, she's just too small for maternity stuff at the moment but too big around the belly for a lot of her clothes. I'd love to make her something like this but she's on the other side of the world to me, so it's too hard to get measurements Sad
