THats great!  But Im a little confused, did you put clear tape on each strip of magazine first, or did you do the whole magazine page in tape, then cut?

I cut the strips first, then put the clear tape on. I'm making another one right now out of comic strips, I can take pictures of how I do the tape if you'd like.

I'm looking to send my Step-Sister's Choice quilt to a new home.  If you're interested in swapping for fabric/scrapbooking supplies, send me a PM.

Could you please do that? I'm in the process of making a purse myself as well, but every time I try to cover the strips with tape everything gets either broken (the strips) or awfully wrinkled (the tape and/or the strips).
I'm thinking of using something like modge podge now...  Undecided

Gorgeous! I agree - the black/white/gray color scheme is super sophisticated looking. I have one of these in progress, except mine will be slightly larger, and it is all being done in blues and aquas and greens (courtesy of a stack of Caribbean and Florida travel mags that were given to me).

I love the tape idea! I wish I had thought of that before I started. I had seen a tutorial where the person mod-podged with good results, but I think the tape might work better. I'll remember that for my next one (all 5 of my daughters want one, so I have my work cut out {no pun intended}).

Anyway - fabulous job!
