So, I was getting a bit fussy about my earrings being EVERYWHERE... I never liked putting them in my jewellry box, as they always got tangled. soooo *light bulb above head..* I suddenly had a brainwave... So I send my boyfriend off to work with some mesh to make a frame, and .. tadah...

Love to know what everyone thinks Smiley

Well.. I guess you could always staple some mesh to a normal picture frame if you take out the glass Tongue

I love this idea! I made some similar ones with fabric instead of mesh, but I think mesh works better because now all my earrings leave holes in the fabric Sad But mesh is perfect because there are already holes!  Cheesy

Are you going to paint the frame or leave it unfinished?

I've been wanting to do the same thing for my jewellery--just haven't gotten around to getting the frame and wire mesh yet!  Looks great.  The other thing that is holding me back is we don't have a power stapler, so I'm a bit at a loss about how to attach the wire to the frame.  Glue is probably not the best solution, and I don't think our little desk stapler is up to the job.   Maybe this is just the excuse I need to get a power stapler! :-)

I never thought I'd need a power stapler.. but oh my, do they come in handy! My bloke is a carpenter so I keep asking if he can borrow it for a day or two for me Tongue

I'm not sure about how to finish the frame.. it didn't even cross my mind! Maybe I'll paint it or decorate it or something Smiley

The black ones? aren't they cute? I bought them from miss selfridge here in the UK, but I'm sure they'd be pretty easy to make Smiley

I've been wanting to make one of these for a long time. Where do you buy mesh??

I love the butterfly earrings too! I saw some similar ones at Walmart sometime ago.
