Strawberry Amigurumi (First-Time pattern Making Attempt!)

     Deep in the forest that the locals call "The Internets", a crafty explorer named Amy risked life and limb to find the ultimate prize:  A simple pattern for an amigurumi style strawberry.  She jumped into pits filled with the infamous "Server Unable To Load" bugs; she rummaged through messy web blogs, filled with over the top seizure-inducing advertisements; she even looked on *gasp* eBay.  But all to no avail.  There was not a single strawberry pattern to be found!

     So, Amy decided to do what she had never even thought of attempting before:  She was going to make a pattern!  She had only learned to crochet two days ago, but that didn't matter to her.  She Wanted That Strawberry!!

     Okay, so you get the drift.  There really were not any plain old strawberry patterns, no matter where I looked!  I just kind of winged this one, so I didn't write down the pattern.  I hope that it looks okay though!  I do want people's opinions on one thing:

Do you think that it should have a face with eyes?  Or just leave it as is?

Ahh I love it! Phenomenal for a first attempt! It would be great even if I didn't know it was your first attempt.

I guess whether or not you pout a face depends on what you're going to do with it, but I would just leave it as it is. It's great!

Yay strawberry. I was looking for a pattern for a strawberry last week, then gave up when I realised the only wool I have is pink...

The pattern was basically just half of a ball and then a slow decrease.  Unfortunately I don't remember exact stitch counts, but if you eye-ball it to be close to 2 1/2 inches at the widest point it should work out!
