Here is a sample of the green beans coming from my garden this year.

I have to pick them almost every day now.  I have already processed 21 pints.

Our beans were really fuzzy and woody.  I let them go.

You know, I don't even know what they are called.  I had harvested the seeds from last year and dried them.  Then I just threw them in the garden this year and put up some poles for them to climb.  My poles are four feet high and the beans are over the top.

Nice looking beans. My green beans didn't turn out to good this year.

They look like half runner pole beans.

You could be right.  The name sounds familiar.

Edited to add: I just found out that what I have is called blue lake beans.

Yummy looking green beans! I've been collecting egg cartons so that I can start some veggies next year.

There is some satisfaction in growing things from seeds.  It make you feel good when you harvest.
