hi everyone... i just joined the board, and after reading about all your fabulous projects for hours i was inspired to finally make something... so i busted out the dusty old silk screen, an old national geographic, a plain grey skirt i had at last deemed BOR-ING and went to work.

on, and

off!

it's a light grey skirt that comes mid-calf, very straight and plain.  the giraffe print is a freehand stencil printed in a darker grey ink.

i like all kinds of feedback :0) also, hypothetically, would something like this sell?

I love it!  I'm pretty sure it would sell if you had a better second picture.  While I'm sure it isn't truly like this, the picture makes it look really uneven on the left side.  The waist is higher up, and there's that funky bit down on the hem, which I'm guessing is just due to the back side of the skirt being slightly wider than the front.  But don't take this as criticism, merely that presentation is everything!  It really is a great looking skirt.  I love giraffes, so I'd maybe buy it (but it's more likely I'd say "I can make that" since that is the craftster spirit!)

The giraffe totally makes that skirt. I love it! There's a giraffe skirt at Urban Outfitters that I've been coveting, but yours is much better.

aww I love that!  I saw a skirt in some magazine that was all safari print with like 3 giraffes on it, in brown or something, but I like yours better!  PLUS! you didnt have to pay 100 some dollars for it!! Score!!
