I bought this little nightstand at a thrift shop for 5 bucks. The paint job was crappy and peeling off, but I liked the square shape.

I stripped all the old paint off, then sanded the remains. Spray painted the entire thing a clean white and then varnished. Bought some moulding from my favorite store, cut it, spray painted it with a pretty hammered black and then glued it all on. That's about it, hope you like!

Thanks for looking.

Oh! that is so cute! I love it! You took a very boring piece and made it spectacular. It's lovely.

Not only is this an amazing re-con, but you have some brilliant books piled on the finished project.

Wow! It was a beautiful set of drawers when you bought it, a lick of paint would have improved it tenfold but what you've done is even better!! What a fantastic but simple transformation. Did you come up with the design youself? It's very Art Deco. Mimik's right, it does look expensive. $5!! Sweeeeet!  Grin
