I have been very busy with a fulltime job this summer, but now that I have a few weeks before school starts, I have gotten back to sewing!

(I was the one that made like 3 bathing suits in a week at the beginning of the summer!)

anyway, I found a vintage pattern at a local thrift store, and thought it was extremely adorable.  I am pretty sure it dates to sometime in the 70's.  The pattern was $2, and the fabric that I used for the dress was from the dollar wrack at Wal-mart! I got 4 yards, so that makes the total cost of the dress around $6!

I made this one in about 3.5 hours tonight.
Let me know what you think!

That is SO PRETTY!  I love that pattern, and the fabric is gorgeous too!  You look great in it, I am so jealous of your sewing skills!  Would you please tell me the pattern name?

Adorable! I love it and think the yellow "belt buckle" (not sure what to call it) on the front is so sweet!

Hmmmm....I searched on eBay, but the pattern that came up as McCall's 4469 was for two tops, a skirt and a pair of pants.  Are you sure that that is the correct number?

haha yeah i'm sure mccall's has changed the pattern numbers by now =] i'm glad you found it though!  vintage patterns are so odd! with today's patterns I always have to get the smallest size.. and they are still too big!  this pattern was actually a size 10 (which is NOT the smallest one).. and it fit perfectly!  Actually.. i think i like vintage sizes a LOTTT better (being that I am abnormally tiny)
