My roomate and I have peppered our apartment with nods to the human body and as a continuation of that we decided it would be cool to make big art pieces.  Since neither of us paint I came with the idea of a stencil.

Ok, so what we did was find a couple stencils we liked, print them out, make them into tranparencies, blow them up on a projector, trace the images onto the canvases and then paint them.  They were done on two 22" x 28" canvases

These are very cool, and I like the clean look they create!  I would certainly hang one in my home. Smiley

Very cool.  I did something similar with some photos of my friends for their wedding gift.  I'm not a painter, so it was the closest I could get.  I love the silver outline on the pieces.

If I had a needle and thread, fine as I could sew, I'd sew my true love to my side, and down the creek

From one of the stencil links on the discussion forum.  It was a while ago so I don't remember which one though

Nice.  I like the rib-cage/spinal column one best.  They are both really neat though.

OMG! I love them! (says the chick with a 3d poster of the human brain on her wall). I am not great at stenciling, but I am definately going to try something like this. Hmmm...now where can I find a projector??
