anyone have a good tea towel source??

I am sure I could find some at Target..I found some flour sack stuff there..but anywhere else..

I've read Kmart for Martha Stewart. Hobby Lobby for Aunt Martha. Lots of people here have said that the Sublime Stitching towels are awesome to stitch on.

Sooo, today I got this ginormous package in the mail from my mum. She loves me!

She sent me this incredible vintage book on needlework stitches - 370 stitches are in there! There are stitches in there that I've never seen, plus stitches I never knew the name of, so couldn't google them. PLUS, she used to be co-owner of a small craft store. When they closed, she ended up with the DMC thread case, which was full, so she sent along one of every color, and extras of the colors I use a lot. I'm so excited to try some of the new stitches out on some tea towels!

It was seriously better than Christmas, today. (She also sent me a book of knitting patterns for hats, vintage 1928 & 1929 needlework magazines, a tray for my kitchen and some very cool baskets she made out of clothesline and fabric.)

Well... she might... but I'll not give her the option, lol. I couldn't stand the competition.  =)

Perach, Yes, she does. =)

KimsCozyKitchen, The book is Needlework Stitches by Barbara Snook, copyright 1963. http://www.abebooks.com/servlet/SearchResults?an=barbara+snook&sts=t&tn=needlework+stitches&x=56&y=23

Ok - I have to post pics of the baskets she made, though. My verbal description lacks.

Such a cool technique.
