So I bought some shrinky dink... and I decided to make myself a keychain... a Dave Matthews Band Firedancer of course!!!!

(I took this pic on my crappy cell camera, forgive me)
And my best friend, also a big DMB fan liked it so much... I made her one & sent it all the way from NY to FL

(this was with my fantastic in '04 camera, not so fantastic in '08 camera)
Then... my boyfriend wanted a keychain... He doesn't like DMB...so he got...

Darth Vader!!!! (another crappy cell pic)
Then.. it was my other BFF's Bday... and she's not a DMB fan either... but she is a HUGE Keller Williams Fan... so she got...

(the pic above & from here on are from my awesome in '08 new camera Cheesy )
Someone my friend Sarah knew in FL loved her keychain soooo much, so commissioned me to make one for her & her boyfriend, both DMB fans. So I did!
This is the one for her boyfriend

and this is the FIRST one I made for her. I wasn't so happy how it turned out. The black ink ran? when I put the clear coat on. And when it shrunk it shrunk all crooked (advice in this area would be appreciated Cheesy )

& since she sent me more $ than I had asked... I felt I should remake it. And this is the final keychain for her. (Which I love more than the first)

The keychains I made on "commission" had some specifications. The Lyrics, the colors, etc. They were all very fun to make. I found it a little nerve wracking to create for a stranger.
I hope you all like them & any feedback is appreciated. (PS- I may have posted the earlier keychains before here, I just can't remember! Sorry if its duplicated!) Smiley

They look great. The colours are so vibrant! Did you use clear shrinky dink? What did you use to colour them in?

TY. I did use clear Shrinky Dink. And I used a thin black sharpie & colored pencils for all...

Cool. So the clear shrinky dink is already "roughed up" so you can use pencil crayons on it? I know the white stuff I have is too shiny to use pencil crayons.

I adore the final piece!  That is one of my favorite Dave Matthews songs as well, done in my 2 favorite colors!  I'm in love!

first off Beautiful I really love the last one. Secondly, for shrinking crooked, keep and eye on them while they shrink and if need be take them out and press them flat while they are still warm. As for ink running, the only thing I can think of is to use a spray on clear coat for less contact with the ink. All are absolutly gorgeous... do you do personal swaps??? Smiley Excellent work!

I need bottle cap earrings with pictures of my kitty. Will swap anything for them!!!!!!

First off thanks all for your praise Cheesy
The shrinky dink I used has a glossy side & a rough side. I used the marker on the shiny side, and I used the colored pencil on the rough.
I love all DMB songs. If you asked my favorite... I'd give you a list. And then add on! haha!
I've done 1 swap on here... I'd totally be down for doing a personal swap! The swap I did was the first time I ever got something from someone ELSE creative & it was so cool! PM me!

The orange and yellow ones at the end are gorgeous! I can't believe they're shrinky dinks! They look amazing.
