Hey Craftsters! So I just started my junior year of high school today. I never eat the school lunches and this year I decided to try something new. Cheesy So here's my first ever bento box! It's fried chicken (I made the night before, breaded with tortilla chip crumbs), pineapple, half a kiwi, grapes, tomato and feta cheese stuffed olive on the cutest little star pick ever. I also had some home made honey mustard sauce and carrots that aren't in the picture. I got some funny looks at school today.. but to hell with 'em, it was delicious! Grin

EDIT!  Day 2! Cheesy

You've definitely inspired me to stop eating school lunch. Although, I barely eat it anyways because of the timing compared to when we're going home...

But if I had packed that I definitely would have eaten it. Do you have a recipe for the fried chicken?

Sort of.. I found this: http://warmolives.blogspot.com/2008/07/pretzel-chicken-with-honey-mustard.html  online and thought I'd give it a try, but I didn't have any pretzels to bread it with.. so I used tortilla chips instead. Tongue

Yup I was worried it wouldn't be enough for me either.. but it filled me up just fine. Smiley

Thanks for all your comments everyone!

That looks like a great lunch! Okay, this may sound like a stupid question, but what is a bento box?

Not a stupid question at all! Cheesy I'm sure as heck no expert, but to me its just a handy way to pack food in a healthy way that's looks appealing.

Here's a site that explains it better than I can: http://www.airandangels.com/bentobox/intro.html

And here's a group on flickr just for bento boxes! With tons of photos.  Grin
