Awww, thank y'all so so much!! ~ i'm blushing all over  Roll Eyes  Grin

i love the tour and everyone's work on here is just super-awesome ... somewhat addictive, really.  Cheesy btw: is there going to be another tour sometime soon, after this one is completed?

rectangel, no it didn't take me longer. i don't know whether that's because i started out as a cross-stitcher (... and knitter, so i'm used to counting...  Wink) ... it usually takes me longer to do free-form-stitching. ~ might sound strange, but it's true!  Smiley

Oh Nannetta!!  That is beautiful!!  I have to admit... I'm completely nervous about what to do on Ursuladiamond's towel!!  I've done a few cross stitches in my time but never anything as intricate as what has been done here!!  I might freak out and just end up adding a Kewpie! Cheesy

I certainly hope so. I've never sent out a towel with a theme in mind before but suddenly came up with a great one the other day.

Ta da!  The final addition to Katchoo1's bento tea towel.  I'm just posting a pic of what I added and not the entire towel so it can be a surprise to Colleen.  Overall, it's such a nice towel and everyone's stitches are wonderful.

I used a design off of flickr's vintage hoop love site.  I think she's so cute and now want one for myself!

I like making stuff. Rumor has it, I'm an elf. Like a Santa Elf, not one of those elegant LOTR types.  Mostly because I compulsively craft and partially because I have green shoes.

Sonja -awesome work!  I love red and that girl is just super cute Wink

Soits bad news good news this Friday Wink  Antarcticrafts towel was mailed September 25 and has not shown up in its destination.  It might still show up and we are looking for it but since A. lost her towel last time I was not content to send her patches.  I wanted her to have real TOUR towel so I have sent this towel on to Rita and Rita angel she is has agreed to stitch another design and pass it through the group.

IF in the meantime the original towel resurfaces before Rita gets the one I sent today we have a plan to put everyones name from the swap in a hat and draw a winner Wink  So, keep you fingers crossed that original towel reappears.

On to the designI love this pattern but it leaves very little to the imagination so I had to really work to come up with anything new for itmy main contributions are how the hilt is done with bezeled gem stones and filigree.  Other than that I blanket stitched the inside instead of running stitch and I quite like how it looks.  The French knots are overstitched because I wanted them to be really secure and I wanted them to be thicker.  All in all the color palette is a little odd for me but I like how it came out in the end Wink  Have a great weekend everyone!

sorry about the wrinkles had to take photos at work

a little blue from my water erase marker has reappeared
