T4-Tea Towels Go International

I've got a lot of catching up to do! I'll just have to say that it all looks great, as usual. Those hedgies are adorable and I really like the sublime pattern. All so cute! I sent binah's towel off today. Now I get to wait again, which is ok because I have another swap to wrap up. This has been so fun, I just wish there were more hours in a day to stitch more!

I FINALLY finished 1girl1boy1kitty2's towel. It's not that the design I chose is complicated, it's that when it rains it pours. Her theme was Bright and Cheery (or something close, truly I can't keep a thought in my head these days) so I found this guy among the wonderous Aunt Martha Patterns. I got to experiment with french knots, leaving some of them loose for texture and what I thought was a fun effect (I don't know if the picture shows it.) I also got to work quite a bit with lazy daisies and couching, something that took way longer than my usual chain stitch.

Amy, Sewsew, Ritapizza, Ginamonster!  Such adorable designs.  I love learning of all the new places to look for pictures to stitch!  (and I gotta buy that Sublime pattern... )

Here's what I finally finished for Dona Leonor's towel.  I did everything but the actual mushrooms free-hand...probably not my best idea!   I do like the way her towel is coming together, though!  (please excuse the hoop marks!)

ThirdMargaret.... I love my mushrooms ! You did great with the embroidering and everything you did free handed... those are the perfect shops to have... get a good craft book then stop for a great fruit tart from the bakery to nibble on while reading and before heading home ... grab some pretty aromatic flowers to compliment the experience !
