Your mom has a very nice place! The Jolly Roger dock is just too cool.

I'll try and get a shot of the dock "in action" this weekend if i get a chance to go up. I admit it, I feel like a redneck. but damn its fun Wink and the jolly roger is all like "what?! i'm not redneck! i'm an f'n pirate!"

That dock is really neat, I have never seen one so personalized before, I really like what you did with it.  The motor idea sounds interesting.  I grew up in Muskoka. I know you said you weren't in Muskoka, but where you have your dock looks like a nice beach.  Looks weed free, the way I like it, nice and sandy.

Its a beautiful lake, spring-fed, deep and clean. unfortunately it has a "public beach" at one end - its private property now, and they've tried baracades, planting trees, giant rocks, etc to restrict access but people just tear it all out and launch their boats off of it. and with obnoxious, unwashed, highpowered speed boats comes invasive species, like the goddamned millefoil which has started to become a problem Sad we actually dredged our waterfront this spring to cut down on the weeds, so we've had a relatively weed-free summer. but its a lot of work and not particularly fun to do. there is only a small area of our waterfront that has weeds though so i really can't complain ^_^

I love this!  I'm afraid that if I did this on my dock, my ultra-conservative neighbors would burn it....

Awesome work!!!!
