Here is the dress I made for my daughter's first birthday (next Sunday).  It is baby cord with embroidered snowflakes/sequin centers.  The pattern was Simplicity 3656 and it will have a white pinafore.

Nice work and cute dress! I just saw that fabric today and *almost* bought some.... Hope you'll add modeling shots next week. Oh, and Happy Birthday to her!

Love the fabric!  Where'd you get it?
My daughters first birthday dress was the start of my sewing madness, I had sewn a few things before that, but that event & dress just propelled me forward.  Now she will be 3 in 3 weeks and I am having a very hard time deciding on fabric (cause none of the 100yds I already own are good enough Cheesy) and I want just the right pattern!
Have fun celebrating!

I actually got the fabric at Joann's.  They have it other colors too I think.
