I made my first not-scarf!! yay!

in short, this is what they are:

Even though I made tons of mistakes (which bugs the crap out of me), they're still suuper comfy. And huge. And tacky.
My band friends borrow them all the time so they can just pop off the tops & shove them in a pocket to play their instrument during freezing Minnesota football games =)

here's some better pictures:

Comments & criticism welcomed!! (Are they too tacky/gigantic?? Can you really notice all my screwups?) Thanks for looking!

*edit*

pattern: "sacred & profane convertibles" from book "knit wit" by amy r. singer =)

I <3 this knitting book because the projects are pretty unusual (but also a little bland...) idk

I love these.  Really, it looks like you did a good job.  Any chance of a tutorial?

Want to learn to crochet or knit?  I have a ton of extra crochet hooks & circular knitting needles.  Will throw in some pattern books and yarn for anyone interested in a swap.

These are so cute and campy!  I love them!  And don't worry about the mistakes.  There will always be mistakes.  People truly don't see them unless you point them out.  Great job!  Grin

Yeah, I think everyone freaks out about mistakes too much (like I do...) but since my friends are non-knitters I guess I don't think they'd notice.[
