So in 2 days ( Shocked) I'm starting 9th grade (which means I don't carry a lunchbox). Do you have any quick lunch suggestions that don't take a lot of space in my backpack? (ah, and PLEASE no sandwiches!!)  Wink

Bagels!  With cream cheese and smoked salmon.  Or goats cheese and caramelised onion chutney.  Or roasted veg and mozzarella.

Leftovers.  Any leftovers from the night before, with salad.  Pasta bake and fried rice are great.  As is tabbouleh and pretty much anything with cous cous.

Potato salad.
Veg sticks and hummous.
Sausage rolls.

Yogurt with fresh fruit is my favourite thing to include with my packed lunch.

Techniquely not a sandwich.. the Roll Up/Wrap
Take a fajita wrap and add anything you like... ham and cheese, leftovers, PB&J, salad, etc.  Roll it up tucking the ends in as you do it.  Wrap it in plastic wrap or foil and stick it in the front of your bag with an ice pack.  Easy to eat, just unwrap as you eat it so you won't need utensils.

Yogurt Drink and Trail Mix

I like one dish rice or noodle recipes for light to carry lunches. My husband's and I favorite's are,  beans and rice and tuna noodle casserole. Any kind of soup is good to freeze and let thaw out until lunch time.

My son likes to take quiche or ham and cheese cake.

You could always make a quesadilla the night before and pack it into your backpack for lunch. They're tasty and really portable.
