I needed a bag to carry all my crochet junk so it was all in one place. I was reluctant to use my gorgeous Amy Butler fabric ...but I did and as I suspected I screwed up a lot....this bag was torture from the word go! But with all its issues I think it turned out great.

I got the idea from a few purses I've seen and added my own touches

the front

I used 8 different fabrics with colors in the same range

Side all tied up

Side untied

Bottom

I added some rivets to keep the cardboard on the bottom in place

Inside

there are pockets on both sides of the inside: one side is for pens or hooks and the other side has wider pockets...i put my needle box in one

Inside Filled

with all my lovely junk in it. I made it big so I can put my binder of patterns, books and skeins of yarn as well as WIPs etc.

As much as I hated making this thing I love it so much! Thanks for looking!

Lauren

Gorgeous bag! You really did a great job!
How did you put in the rivets?  ?and through the cardboard also?  I find that amazing (but I know nothing about using rivets!)

Thanks for sharing!

Wowsa! this is beautiful! I'm not sure where you "screwed up" cause it looks great to me. I love the fabrics and the design *** wisted *** any tips on the sides? I've been wanting to try something like that but have been intimidated.
