Ami Discworld!

I'm talking, of course, about the amazing Terry Pratchett books. He's always been my favourite author, so here is my tribute to his books:

I think this is the best thing I've ever made, and it took a lot of work to create! One large sea turtle, four small elephants, and the disc itself. The turtle is bulky weight acrylic, the elephants are worsted weight acrylic, and the disc is cotton (I thought it would be stiffer and less likely to stretch out or sag... so far so good, but I am ready with the spray starch should the need arise to stiffen it later!)

Oh and I spent a loooong time getting all the continents etc in the right positions and colours, but the Discworld is not my copyright so please don't ask me for a tutorial or pattern!

Oh MY GOD!!!!!  I have every book and lots and lots of the collectors stuff. But nothing is as good as this!
that must have took ages to make but well worth it.

My advice- never take it to a discworld convention- they won't let you out with it!!!

I can't even imagine the hours that went into both the planning and the execution of this project, but I can tell you they must have been worth it. This is extraordinary! I've meant to check out the Discworld series for a while, and this is just the push I needed to convince me.

OH MY OH-GOD! (lol). I've only read a few of his books - Hogfather, Colour of Magic, Wee Free Men, and a few others - but he's absolutely one of my favorite authors. This. Is. Amazing!!!!!!!

And so well done! Not that I know a lot about amigurumi, or any of the fiber arts for that matter, but it's mind-blowingly . . . everything. Just . . . wow.
