So, my sissy-poo is moving into her first apartment and she has to fully furnish the place on her own. So, my parents bought her this desk. Of course it was too drab for her, so she asked me to pep it up.

1]Spray paint the sides black (and devour mac-n-cheese so as not to perish while crafting).
2]Attach sides of awesome dress wedding gift bags from the Dollar Tree to sides. Frame with ribbon and awesome $1/yd. houndstooth fabric.
3]Paint drawers and cover one drawer with matching fabric from the frame around the gift bag dresses on sides of desk.
3]Stencil on random design on top of desk with pink, silver, and black.
4]Paint rungs of chair.
5]Sew awesome cushion with fabric that matches with the frame around the gift bag dress on the sides and the bottom drawer.

Now, on with the pictures:

Be careful with glitter. It never goes away. Glitter is the herpes of craft supplies.

It looks fabulous.  And I hope my kids grow up wanting to do such nice things for each other.

Sis is lucky to have such a crafty sister...it looks great!   The bag on the side looks very similar to the "dress" on the poster of "27 Dresses".

This looks awesome! Your colour combo looks really nice, especially with the muted colours. Great job!
What's the pattern on the top of the desk?
