I think Aeon is just precious in general, too.
I was planning on taking a short break from swapping-- having 3 things with deadlines in a week on top of a busy travel month stressed me out a lot.  But if you're joining the tea towel swap, I just may have to reconsider.

C'mon, join the tea towel swap. I already signed up for that one as well. Even though I think I must be crazy because I am doing the Vintage Halloween Swap as well and will also be moving into my new house in a couple of weeks. I have been putting off doing any packing because I would much rather be sewing and embroidering tea towels.

Just got a PM that ScotSkipper402 received! She said, "It's here. And it's WONDERFUL. I'm so spoiled! the stars look EXACTLY like mid-ocean at night. (At least, the Atlantic... haven't seen any others yet). Off to notify the org. Now I'm sorry that the swap is over. It's been so much fun!"

My partner said she isn't a girlie-girl, so I went with the fact that she likes nautical things. I put everything in a tote w/sailboats on it (going for aqua but I think it's more teal, sorry),



I told her I thought the print looked like what I imagined the night sky to be like way out in the middle of the ocean with sparkly stars and misty clouds. She agreed, whew!







I buy white hand towels in bulk at Costco's (in the auto dept.) and use the heck out of them in my kitchen and thought my partner might like a couple. I sewed matching trim to one of the ends, nothing fancy but handy-dandy. I crocheted 2 dish rags (my daughter made a bunch for me & I use 'em every day, then she got me hooked on making them myself), threw in some vintage coasters from Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco, Calif., just for fun, and made a seashell pin out of one of my first pieces of resin I ever made.

Thanks again for putting this swap together, it was quite a challenge for me and has inspired me to possibly make some of these for Christmas presents!

Dawt - what a beautiful swap package. I LOVE the bubble print on the apron pockets. Good EXCELLENT work for someone who claims to be out of practice! =)

I am happy to report that I just received my package from Mamafen and it is AH-MAZING. She totally went over the top. I will be able to post pics tonite once I get home from work.

We love the bulk white towels here too. They are great for cleaning.
