So my apron from TeaCouture really put me over the edge with my need for a serger.

Guess what!  I got a great deal on one today on craigslist.

Okay-- I'm done.  I just had to tell some people who might understand how excited I am.

That IS exciting news! And you thought Santa might have to bring it, so glad you found one and don't have to wait.

We bought a serger for one of my daughters a few years back and it's the coolest. It's down right now, though, and will cost a wad to fix it so no telling when it'll be back in action. She really misses it, used the heck out of it...it was THE best at finishing quilt throws and such, no need to mess with seam binding. You'll have a ton of fun with yours, let us know when you've used it by showing off your work, eh?

I'm not going to be able to play with it for a few days until I finish a couple  of other projects, but it's sitting in my living room right now.  I can't wait!!!

oooh! I'm jealous. I've been thinking about getting a serger. But I think I might have called in sick just so I could play with it.

I love all the aprons I've been seeing-- especially the Lucy. I'm a big fan of polka dots.

It's not hard, per se, but it is quite a bit of work-- lots of keeping track of things.  It's definitely a commitment.  But I have enjoyed it a lot, too.  I'll be glad to do it again if you don't want to, but I'll gladly step back if you do want to.
