Ack! So When I noticed the latest apron pics were posted, I was 3 minutes and counting down on ebay for an item I desperately wanted to win (a 1921 coat and hat pattern for a size 8 girl). I was back and forth between the two pages... Petrified I'd lose the auction, but too enchanted by the aprons to stop looking!

Beautiful aprons! You certainly got spoiled!

Cheesy Cheesy But did you win it?!

It looks almost yellow in the outside picture.  Smiley

For some reason it was difficult to photograph, with or without a flash, outside, inside, it would wash out and I couldn't get the pattern or trim to come through decently. To me it looks more orange in person than pink.

Unfortunately, someone else placed a bid higher than my maximum bid just seconds before I was able to submit it. Before I could enter another bid, the auction was over. =(  However, I did win these beauties: 3 dress patterns from 1919. My 11 year old will look stunning in one - she's so tall and slender!

Sorry the pic isn't great - it was the best I could do after swiping it from the ebay listing.

... *waits anxiously for the next poster of aprony goodness*

My partner said this fabric is "Schumacher family," but I'm not fabric savvy so I don't know what that means.

Thank you, ScotSkipper402! Yours will be going out tomorrow! Also, a big thank you to our organizer, elvissatx, for putting this together!

"Schumacher"  means "originally very expensive home-dec fabric". It was a pretty dry-clean-only polished cotton, but I preshrunk it, and now it's not polished but washable. Plus it was thrifted... say 95% off its original price per yard?

They look really pretty on you!

Plus 3 cheers for elvissatx!

I just received my apron from TeaCouture.  Probably will post pictures tonight, but you guys have a treat coming.  It's the most darling and hysterically funny thing ever.  She captured my sense of humor, style and color perfectly.

Oh, this is just the best swap ever!!!

My mail came EARLY today (that never happens)... and look what was there!

Thank you, SnapsAndDrangons!

I was spoiled and got two very cute aprons, which was lucky, since the moment my girls saw the one on top, they started clamoring, "Can I wear it when its my turn to help cook dinner?! Pleeeease?" Then they saw the second one, and started again. =)

My kitchen is decorated in green and pink and white, with a real retro feel to it, so these are perfect! The pink on the aprons is actually almost a perfect match to my flamingo cookie jar.

Two of my girls wanted to model them, even though they wrap almost all the way around their skinny little middles.

I don't know if you can see, but the bottom of each pocket is cutely pleated, and the top is gathered with elastic.

Love the rainbow rick-rack and froggy fabric!

See the decorative edge stitching along the side hems?

Thanks again!

The aprons are so pretty and colorful.

Your girls are gorgeous little cuties and they look just like you. At least what I can see in your little avatar pic.  Wink

Thanks. =)  I think they're pretty cute, myself. Lydia, my short one, could be my twin at that age, if she only had red hair.
