Hooray!  This is the best part of a swap-- having someone receive what you made!

and the most nerve racking as you don't know how your item is going to be received ;-D

Yep. Mine (take 2) is now finished and ready to mail. I'm crossing my fingers that AeonGoddess will like it. So far all of my friends that have seen it here love it, and none of them even had a clue about the 'theme' I chose.

And for your viewing pleasure... A shot of my still blue hand, thanks to ice pack explosion.

My 6 year old son asked me what happened to my hands, so I told him I was turning into a smurf. The humor was lost on him.

ALSO!!! I just had a PM from half of my partner, SnapsandDrangons, and she mailed! I can't wait to see what she did! I was looking in galleries of other swaps a while ago, and she has made some pretty nifty things, so I'm very excited. I'll post as soon as I get the package!

Tea, the apron from Elvissatx is simply adorable. It does have a Wonder Woman vibe to it.

I wonder if the Blue Man group could use an extra hand...barr-ump-bump  Cheesy

I got my package from ScotSkipper402 today and there were TWO aprons! I'm working on the pics right now and will post before the evening is over.

Okie dokie, pokies, here are the promised pics.

I didn't get one apron...I got TWO! with a note attached to a vintage post card and 3 tea bags to boot!

The pink/peach one just kept unfolding and unfolding and it was more like a dress than an apron. It's sure to cover every single spot when I cook! It fits a lot better than the floral one (I'm fat and the neck is snug), so that one will be for display. It's too pretty to use anyway!

My partner said this fabric is "Schumacher family," but I'm not fabric savvy so I don't know what that means.

I'm not trying to stick my boobs in the air, I'm just struggling to suck in my tummy!

ScotSkipper402 said the bib was made with a 1977 wall calender, how clever! I love the floral embroidery work, and now I'm gonna be on the lookout for 'em cause that's such a great idea.

Me in my normal state...with mouth agape

Thank you, ScotSkipper402! Yours will be going out tomorrow! Also, a big thank you to our organizer, elvissatx, for putting this together!

Ack! So When I noticed the latest apron pics were posted, I was 3 minutes and counting down on ebay for an item I desperately wanted to win (a 1921 coat and hat pattern for a size 8 girl). I was back and forth between the two pages... Petrified I'd lose the auction, but too enchanted by the aprons to stop looking!

Beautiful aprons! You certainly got spoiled!

I'm so excited to see it! My BF is sick of hearing about aprons, I'm sure. But wow, I hope that ice pack injury isn't apron related... I know I always manage to injure myself in new and exciting ways whilst sewing.  Wink

Oh noes! You two are showing me up! I've got to step it up.

Speaking of stepping up, I am blown away by all the aprons so far. Looks like no one here backs down from a challenge. Blue ribbons, crazy awesome embroidery, sweet patriot stripes AND beautiful double apron goodness. Seriously. Awesome swap. Can't wait to see the rest!

How lucky you are to have received two beautiful aprons. That is a really cool idea about using the wall calendar for the bib. And elvissatx that is some awesome red, white and blue goodness. I am at a loss for a name though. I do like red, white and ric rac though  Cheesy

dawt, those are both really nice aprons. I love the embroidery on the calender apron and I love the shape of the pink/peach apron.

It looks almost yellow in the outside picture.  Smiley
