She only took me about 5 hours to complete, and not only is she my first Poppet, but also my first doll/stuffed toy. I'm quite proud of how she turned out. I know what to look for and what to fix  my second time around, which I'm sure will be soon. Everyone I showed her to fell in love, and my daughter won't give her back. She also wouldn't allow me to photograph her nude, and I have made any clothes yet, lol which is why she is wrapped in a wash cloth.

She of course would not be possible without craftster, and the generosity of ghilie sharing the pattern!!

Great rockstar-pink hair!  The texture of her skin looks so soft - what did you make her with?

She is soft. She's made out of some of the thinner flannel from Walmart. It was only $2.97 a yard. I just went around feeling the fabrics that I liked the color of, found ones that were soft, then tugged on them to make sure they weren't stretchy or had frayed ends. It worked ok. There's only one spot where I cut the seam allowance a little too close tot he edge and it wanted to (can't think of the correct technical term) pull a little, but I fixed it so you couldn't see it. Of course my son wanted one, so back I went and got some green flannel to make him an alienesque one Smiley  Gotta love the poppets!
