My hubby and I have been watching the olympics and have been joking about how in love with Michael Phelps the American media is. We were watching gymnastics and there was a thing in the corner of the screen saying "Michael Phelps in 5 minutes". While one of his teammates was swimming, they had a split screen to watch Michael watching the race... they even had a expose on what Michael eats on a daily basis! Do I really need to know (as a story on msnbc told me) that he was going to take a nap after the race? Yes, he is a great athlete and has won a ton of medals, but I think that it is overkill.
So, we were watching the Michael Phelps-o-thon last night and I joked that I should make a shirt that says "Michael Phelps died for my sins"... then that phrase morphed into this... which sent hubby and I into a roaring laughter...

And the lovely hubby modeling...

That is hilarious!! I agree with you about the Phelps mania. I'm not anti-Phelps by any means, but the media has certainly gone overboard. You should sell shirts like that, I bet people would go crazy for them! The image is really really cool too. I'd wear it!

That's perfect--like you, I appreciate Phelps' athleticism, but notice the overexposure. Priceless T-shirt!

LOL thats hilarious!  I would definitely wear that!
While I think that Phelps is a great swimmer, and a gift for the US olympic team, I am sick of the media obession with him.

I love it! My DBF wants a shirt that says "Phucking Phelps." Roll Eyes We've been watching the Olympics  while working out in the gym at our apartment and it seems like he's all they talk about. When I ask him what's up next after not paying attention he always says that phrase lol.

Everyone's a photographer.
