Hey! does anyone know at what point the ORGANIZER of the swap gives herself feedback? is it when her partner receives and posts pics like everyone else, or when everyone has received or when the swap is done? it just seems like if the organizer needs to wait for everyone to receive (including angels for flakers) to get feedback for herself no one would want to organize.

I can't find an "official" answer about this anywhere. Sad

I believe that 90% of the packages for the swap (including yours Wink) have to be sent before you can give yourself feedback.  I'm sure a Swap Moderator will come along and verify this info (or kick me in the bootie for being wrong, lol).

yep, sweets is right! except that i'd say that 90% of the packages have to be RECEIVED, not just sent, otherwise you'd be giving yourself feedback the day after send outs!

the organizer needs to wait until the swap is complete, or very nearly, before giving herself feedback. when you're organizing, your feedback is for swapping AND organizing, so your feedback would stay as in progress until you've completed your organizer responsibilities.

we do realize that angels and that sort of thing can really drag out the end of a swap, so that's why we say "very nearly", and go by a general 90% rule. there's some flexibility, it's just that the swap should be nearly complete before you give yourself feedback. i like to wait until everyone has received and feedback has been given, with the exception of any angels, before giving myself feedback. as a swap mod i see how easy it is for people to forget to finish up their swaps, or forget to give feedback, and how much harder it is to try to backtrack and fix it, so if i wait until the end, i know for sure that i'll remember to do everything!

if you're in doubt, you can always open a help desk ticket and ask us! just explain the status of your swap (ie, one person is waiting to receive, but everyone else has, etc) and ask if we think you could do organizer feedback.

That makes perfect sense! So basically wait until the swap is done minus any anomalies.

That was kind of my thinking, but I wanted to clarify (and make sure I wasn't WAY off!).

Thanks Cheesy

I was made aware of this pertinent info a long time ago by way of the lovely Sevs and racky.  Grin

Is this information listed anywhere for swap organizers to reference? I don't think it is...

Might be helpful  Wink

add up how many people are in your swap - there are 19 in yours right?

so 90% complete in a swap with 19 would be 17 (.1, but there's no such thing as .1 of a swapper! Wink). once 17 out of the 19 people in your swap are completely finished, you should give yourself positive feedback.

if you've given yourself positive feedback too early, just go back and change it to in progress the same way you changed it to positive!

done!  thanks for letting me know.   Smiley

i agree with kishcrafts, i think it'd be really helpful if it was mentioned somewhere with all the other info for organizers when you should give yourself feedback.
