Hi,
I'm hoping somebody can come up with something that I can do with these three hard plastic Hello Kitty heads. They came in a bag of girly toys that my neighbours gave to us almost a year ago. I would have thought I could have come up with something for them by now but, nada.

To give you an idea of what they look like (no working cameras in the house atm) I've found a couple of pics.

See the oval shaped HK packaging in the middle with the HK plastic head? That's the sort of package these 3 heads came from, so just below the neck they have an flat, oval shaped little platform that keeps them upright and stable.

The heads are about the same size as this:

The heads are hard hollow plastic. Two have a ladybug in her hair and one has the standard pink bow as in the pic above.

I've got a baby girl due to be born at the end of September and I'd like to turn these into something for her. I was thinking of a mobile but at the same time I fear floating severed heads may be in bad taste.  Wink

the girl on the bag is a Korean character called Pucca. The heads came from McDonalds toys. I know cause I have a ton of them too...

I suppose, if you're a sewer, you could sew bodies for the heads...maybe.

You could make one into a rattle! :.) securely attach a dowel rod or some such and fill the head with rice or bells or beans or something... I know that doesn't help with all of them, but it's the first thing that came to mind.

And i don't think a mobile of hello kitty heads would be creepy, just because she is so often disembodied. Cheesy

Use them to hold hair bows & such.  You could tack one on the wall & hide a picture inside it like a locket

Glue them on top of little oval white-painted boxes. They could be used to hold all sorts of things.
(Of course, if the boys had their way... they would probably be eaten by monsters in our Halloween display.)  Grin

Stretch the limits of good taste and make them into a totem-pole! I have a bunch of doll heads I'm doing this with (shhh...don't tell my swap partner!)

I think it would be really cute to put hooks on them and mount them to the wall to use as clothing hooks. Hooks always come in handy for all sorts of random stuff. You could also put a little low watt light inside and use it as a night light.

I also agree that the mobile idea wouldn't be in bad taste, you often just get hello kitty heads without bodies, so it's not that unusual.
