This is the coolest project I've seen in a long time! Did you do this in the oven or with a heat gun?
I am totally going to try this.

Those are shrinky dinks!?  Shocked They look really great. If you hadn't said anything I would have assumed they were glass. The first and the last one are my favorites. Would you mind sharing how you made them?

Hey thanks, I LOVE shrinkies....I have a little box full of failures; but I'm amazed at the seemingly endless possibilities. I did this in the oven, I find heat guns give you a very irregular item. First, I shrinked the individual pieces, (shapes and pieces-I didn't have a plan, I mostly colored and cut SCRAPS); plus the bases. Then I messed around with all the pieces and came up with these designs. The stripey one, I did kind of plan cuz I could see how to manipulate it to do what I want. Place them carefully on a pyrex plate (I use casserole dish). You have to heat them the second time at a higher temp(my brand is 450 deg). Bake them until the corners start to round over (about 15-25 min). Note that colors fade during the fusing process, so expect some Happy Accidents!

"In case we haven't guessed??"  I'd have NEVER guessed that they were shrinkydinks!  These are amazing!  I love fused glass and these are the perfect faux.

If you don't mind my asking a "how did you" question...  When you heated for the second time, did you just lay the pieces atop each other as you wanted them to meld and then just let them melt together?  The pieces look too neat to have been glued.

Hitting 'this rocks'  Thanks!
