This began as simplicity 3535... But then it looked like a tent because the brown fabric is so stiff (denium weight almost). (I showed my dad pre-fixing and he asked if I was due next week! =Not funny) So, on to "make it work".
Took almost 4 inches on each side out, made and added the ties, and finally ripped out the seam at the top back to re-do with a double inverted box pleat (I think that's what it's called?) The bow looks nice when I have someone to help tie it. Oh, also did the same sort of pleat on the sleeves at the hem.
The cowboy print fabric was free from the Grandmum and the striped cream fabric has been living in our fabric stash for so long that I'm not sure where it came from or when.
