One of my favorite colleagues retired, so, of course, I had to make her retirement gift. She knits, and I wanted to make her a large tote to carry her things. She has a duck collection, so I wanted to find some way to integrate ducks into the tote. I'm pretty proud of the end result.

So cute! Nice work!

Is the ducky on the side or on the flap?

It's on the side. I found out at the last minute that she was retiring, so I wanted to finish quickly. I didn't think about making a flap until after I'd already sewing sides together.

That's so thoughtful of you!  I like the simplicity of the bag.  I'm sure she appreciates having such a handy tote.
