Very cute.  I like how bright the colors are (or at least how bright the yellow is).

spectacular! It reminds me of my grandmother's stories about picking out the prettiest flour sacks to recycle into a dress. Bravo! :-)

I've gotten bags like that from meijer (midwest [ormaybe only michigan?] supermarket chain, like farmer jack's or kroger).

comfits - you're around here aren't you? kc area? check some of the smaller independent restaurants - they are usually really nice about saving that sort of thing for people. what about dixons chili on 40 hwy? they HAVE to use a lot of onions. and then you could hit that goodwill down from there - it's my FAV. i don't really live close to either of those places either - i am midtown -  but it's so worth the trip!

Reminds me of Haymarket.  I once saw a woman throw a mushroom at a guy's head for stealing an apple from her stand there.  Ahhh, I love Boston  Grin

this really made me laugh - not because it isn't a GREAT question, but because i honestly hadn't thought of it! but NO it doesn't smell at all. the onion bag is really a big plastic net thing so it doesn't absorb odors, plus the onions are dry and still in their papery skins. sometimes a bit of that crumbly stuff gets stuck in the net part of the bag, but the label (which is the part i used) stays pretty clean. a good brush or a swipe with a damp cloth is all it needs.  Grin

i looooove that bag!!! it's so cute! what did you use for the trim and strap (all the black stuff i guess)? i've used bias tape and the like, but it doesn't seem sturdy enough for my tomboy tendencies Wink
