I make book purses, and just recently I decided that I wanted to do something with the pages that I end up putting in the recycle box. So I started collecting images from the books and I finally started putting them to use!

These are gorgeous! I got a soldering iron for Christmas but I haven't got round to using it yet - I think I need to buy brass (or is it copper I'm not sure?!) to edge the glass if I was making something like this - does anyone know if I am along the right lines here!?

These are awesome! The ship is my favorite too. I think the little "blobs" of solder remind me of sea pearls or maybe barnacles or something. They add just the most perfect touch! I don't think it would've turned out as good if they had gone all the way around like the fishy one.
