anyone riding a bike knows that your pants legs will get caught in the gears if you don't make them behave. I made these to match a panierre set I made for buglady in the Bicycle swap

what do you ladies and gents think?

And yes - I've posted like 4 other projects here today... I'm just catching up - I never used to post my projects separate from swaps, so I thought I'd give it a try.

Wow! They look terrific. I'd never thought to make them. DH has a purchased pair with reflective material. Looks like it could be easy to add to yours, too.

oh yeah! these are SUPER simple to make. I ran out of time for the swap so couldn't order any reflective material for the straps.

all you need is
 - 2 d-rings (I used 1")
 - 2 strips of cloth cut to the desired length (mine are around a foot long) with seam and folder over allowances.

how to:
 - sew the 2 strips of cloth right sides together on 3 sides
 - turn inside out
 - feed d-rings through the end that has not been sewn yet. Folder over around the d-rings (tucking the unfinished edge under)
 - sew the fold down.

oh and just a warning - it needs to be fabric that is not too slick. I made one out of some generic fabric and it loosens a little after about 10 minutes of riding.
