I am new to making purses... I was wondering a couple of things... 1) Where do you buy your purse linings from? 2) What type of material do you use for purse linings? I had in mind some type of silky material but any suggestions will be helpful... Thanks...

i get lining from any fabric/craft store. and the silky material look very nice. plain cotton in any color works well too. but yeah. you can use pretty much any type of fabric to line it.

i've used anything from old pillowcases or sheets (with pretty patterns) to cotton t shirts! I'm big on recycling, and I don't have a very big pocketbook, so this has helped me many times when I've been in a bind, and they come out wonderful!!! Smiley
