So I have a boring violin case that looks like this

except its all black.  I really need to put something on it.  I'm a bit of a punk kid, so i was thinking about putting a bullet belt stencil all down the shoulder strap, but aside from that I'm lost!  HELP!

I knew a guy who covered his viola case with yellow & black striped faux fur. It looked cool, but did get a bit grubby - probably better with a darker colour.

Or you could cover it with some old ripped denims and put a heap of pins, patches, chains, scribbles, etc.

Crochet uses a hook. Pirates have hooks, and they are cool. So crochet is cool because of the hook.

the idea of a bullet belt makes me think of old gangster films, where the hoodlums pulled guns out of violin cases. (and the "Mariachi" trilogy)  How about a gun stencil?  Surrounded by flowers or other unexpected decor?
