I started with a pair of kitten-heel flip flops...

nd cut some fabric out of an old stretchy camisole. I tacked it on the bottom of the shoes (the tacks are now more silver/black because the white color coating came off after walking in them a bit) and then gathered it in the middle with some string...



This is my first attempt at shoe reconstruction...a little amatuer with the thumbtacks, but I'm very pleased with the overall look!

haha that's too funny!  I haven't noticed any tapping noises, although I'll certainly be listening for them now!  That'd be doubly funny because I used to be a dancer--12 years of tap!  Maybe I can start shuffling and time stepping through hallways in my sandals Smiley

WOW, such a good idea.. im keeping this in mind for all the times i think.. 'what i want to wear tonight are comfy flip flops, what i need to wear are something that look a little more dressy...hummm'
